Who are we?
Openshaw Design is a
small independent studio
founded around 2002
by Lionel Openshaw,
a graduate of Goldsmiths
design programme.
He works together on
various projects with his
partner Meena Khatwa –
and also employs others,
enabling the company to
tackle projects of any
scale or specialism.
Our Vision
We strive for the most
creative and characterful
solutions that address clients’ needs, and communicate well
with their audiences.
We believe that simple and effective design needn’t be boring –
personality helps your project get noticed.
We’re also passionately
attentive to detail,
colour, image and type.
Design is a good idea
We love creating work packed with accessible ideas, narrative and wit – which is conceptually rich first and fashionable second. Where possible, we also enjoy developing the content of projects – such as copy writing and editing, or naming a new brand. This is under- pinned by a keen interest in language and the written word.
